History

In August 2000, XS Consulting Pty Ltd was established as a market research company focused on providing marketdata and analytical tools to the cosmetic & fragrance industry. At the request of the Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association of Australia (association that promotes and protects the interests of manufacturers and suppliers of cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances in Australia), XS Consulting was contracted to provide the Sales Statistical Report for a 35 strong membership including all major houses. Members included Estee Lauder, YSL, Chanel, Johnson & Johnson, and L’Oreal- all that are still valued clients of Halldata in 2007.

FEBRUARY 2002 XS Consulting became XS International Pty Ltd. The name change was inspired to accommodate the new arm of the company that launched that year - Modeling and Promotions. XS International Models in one year became the 2nd most recognized agency in QLD. Based in Surfers Paradise, models were booked for fashions labels and launches including Reebok, Volcom, Zingaro and Hula Bay Swimwear.
XS International conducted the James Bond “Die Another Day” Girl Search that launched the movie in Australia. The eventual winner landing a job on Channel 9’s Temptation, with many of the finalist now working interstate and overseas.

JUNE 2005 - Halldata was established as the company is known today (name change from XS International). HALLDATA has evolved to be at the forefront of specialty consultancy, data processing and software customization and continues to provide market information solutions to some of the most prestigious companies in Australia and worldwide, including Estee Lauder, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Shiseido and Revlon.
